Full-Time Academic Position in Economics

We are inviting a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our faculty as an Associate Professor / Professor of Economics at ISM University of Management and Economics.

 

The successful candidate will develop and deliver high-quality lectures and seminars in the fields of macroeconomics, history of economic thought, and/or monetary economics.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality lectures and seminars in the field of economics.
  • Design and update course materials to ensure relevance and alignment with current industry practices and academic standards.
  • Mentor and supervise students preparing bachelor’s or master’s thesis.
  • Conduct independent research in the field of economics, publishing in AJG ranked academic journals.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including presenting research findings in academic conferences and applying for competitive research grants.
  • Collaborate with faculty members on research projects and contribute to academic initiatives.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, and other community activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • PhD or PhD candidate in Economics or a related field.
  • At least three years of teaching experience in Economics or related fields.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching, with a commitment to student-centered learning.
  • Track record of research publications and a strong research agenda.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and engage students in a classroom setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic community.

Faculty Position in Marketing

ISM University of Management and Economics invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, or Junior Assistant Professor or Lecturer beginning September 2024.

We are seeking an excellent teacher-scholar to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing, including consumer behavior, B2B marketing, digital marketing, strategic marketing, and more. Candidates should have experience conducting and publishing high-quality research.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching graduate and undergraduate marketing courses in English;
  • Conducting and publishing research in leading marketing journals;
  • Advising students and serving on thesis committees;
  • Participating in curriculum development.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Marketing or related field completed or near completion. Exceptions may be made for candidates with a Master’s degree and significant professional marketing experience;
  • Record of research publications or strong potential for publications;
  • Ability to deliver innovative, high-quality classes in English (knowledge of Lithuanian is not required);
  • A Ph.D. from an international university is preferred. Candidates with a Lithuanian Ph.D. must demonstrate strong international experience;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
