Administrative position openings

Research Project Manager

You will be Responsible for:

  • Monitoring, systematizing, and internally communicating national and international external research funding calls (e.g., Horizon Europe, Research Council of Lithuania, European Research Council, etc.);
  • Coordinating the preparation of project proposals, including both administrative and scientific sections, in close collaboration with researchers and project managers;
  • Administering research projects throughout their entire lifecycle—from contract signing to final reporting;
  • Preparing, coordinating, and managing project contracts, ensuring compliance with funders’ requirements and ISM internal regulations;
  • Communicating and coordinating with funding bodies, implementing institutions, and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Preparing and submitting project activity reports;
  • Managing project documentation and data in compliance with established requirements;
  • Improving administrative processes and implementing standards and best practices in project management.

We Expect that You:

  • Hold a university degree in management, economics, finance, or administration;
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in project administration or management (preferably in an academic or public-sector environment);
  • Have experience in preparing or co-preparing sections of research project proposals (e.g., research objectives, tasks, methodology, impact logic) in collaboration with researchers;
  • Are strong in administrative processes, document management, and working with deadlines;
  • Experience with business-related projects is considered an advantage;
  • Are highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with project or financial management systems is an advantage;
  • Have excellent command of English, both written and spoken;
  • Experience working with Horizon Europe, the Research Council of Lithuania, or other higher education and research funding instruments is an advantage;
  • Are responsible, detail-oriented, systematic, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and committed to agreements and high-quality standards.
