The Lithuanian Society of Young Researchers (LSYR), which organizes the Best Dissertation Competition annually, has announced the laureates of 2023.
Congratulations to Dr. Dovilė Barauskaitė, whose doctoral dissertation was recognized as the best in the field of Management in Lithuania during the “Best Dissertations in 2023” contest!
A total of 100 dissertations were submitted: 38 in the fields of natural sciences, technology, medicine, health, and agriculture, and 62 in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and arts. The first and second stages of dissertation evaluation took place from April to November this year. A panel of 271 experts assessed the submissions. They recognized 10 of the best dissertations defended at Lithuanian research and higher education institutions. The award ceremony for the Best Dissertations will take place on December 3.
Dr. Dovilė Barauskaitė’s dissertation, “Consuming to compensate: when and how self-threats affect consumer behavior,” was supervised by Prof. Dr. Justina Gineikienė and Prof. Dr. Bob M. Fennis.
We’re thrilled that, for the 5th consecutive year, ISM doctoral dissertations have ranked at the top in the Management and Economics fields. Truly an outstanding community!
