Computer Programming

This course is centered around Python with slight touch of SQL, and has dual objectives: first, to impart the art of programming, and second, to introduce students to the exciting realms of data analytics and data science. Through hands-on experience, students learn how to efficiently solve real-life problems using algorithms and problem-solving techniques inspired by the social sciences. As a culmination of their learning journey, students are expected to create a final project, demonstrating their practical skills and innovative thinking.
Intermediate Macroeconomics
Dr. Marius Kušlys
This course is designed to introduce students to intermediate-level macroeconomic models and theories. The first part covers long-run economic growth theories from neoclassical to institutional perspectives and the second part focuses on short-term economic fluctuations. Additionally, students will engage with political-economy theories to understand fiscal policy and its implications for the budget deficit. Through this course, students will develop analytical skills to critically assess macroeconomic policies.
Data Mining for Business Intelligence
Paulius Rauba
The Data Mining for Business Intelligence course is designed to make you a specialist in statistical learning. You will understand (and build) the fundamental algorithms that companies adopt in many of their data-driven applications. Upon completion, you will have the necessary skills to analyse business trends, effectively employ Python, use appropriate statistical learning tools to perform analyses and explain the main reasons behind your decisions. Students find this course invaluable for their future success in data analytics and science.

Studies in economics and analytics have led me to a dynamic job at a start-up. Besides, I gained knowledge in the fields of business development, communication, public speaking and analytics. I use my skills in my daily work, when I need to develop strategies, perform advertising and competitor analysis, distribute budgets and present new ideas to important customers. I am glad that the ISM studies were conducted in English, as this facilitates my work with both colleagues and partners from abroad.

It’s a unique opportunity to get to know EU institutions!During the study tour:

When it will take place? In the third year of studies, in the spring semester.

Double degree program
Double degree with BI Norwegian Business School
Study in Norway, in one of the world’s 1 percent of Triple Crown-accredited universities (AMBA, EQUIS, AACSB).How does this work? Selection takes place in the fourth semester of studies. Students who pass the selection will study at BI Norwegian Business School for one year.
How much does it cost? Tuition fees are payable at BI Norwegian Business School. A ten percent discount applies. Meanwhile the student is required to pay for the studies at the ISM University.
Where will I live while studying in Norway? BI Norwegian Business School offers various types of accommodation in student residences.
How will I benefit from this program? You will receive diplomas from two high schools almost at the same time. You will form an international circle of acquaintances. While studying abroad, you will broaden your horizons and be able to feel comfortable and work efficiently in a multicultural environment.

Each semester you can choose a university that is an ISM partner and participates in the selection. After successfully completing the selection, proceed to the exchange program next semester.
How much does it cost? No extra fees apply. You will pay the usual tuition fee.
How long does it take? The exchange semester lasts about 5 months
What do I have to do to participate in the exchange program? You have to pass the exams – you are permitted to fail only one exam.
