Senior Researcher Dr. Bernadeta Goštautaitė graduated in Psychology from the University of Mannheim (Germany). After working as an HR practitioner in international companies in Germany and Lithuania she started her dissertation project at the ISM University of Management and Economics in Vilnius. In her PhD thesis, she explored the interplay between employee age, work design, and work-related outcomes (engagement, work performance).
Currently, Dr. Bernadeta Goštautaitė conducts research on how personal, job-related, and organizational factors contribute to older employees’ sustainable careers and how these effects differ across countries while using a variety of research methodologies, including large-scale surveys, qualitative, experimental studies. She was visiting researcher at the University of Florida (USA) and Curtin University, Future of Work Institute (Australia).
As a Principal or Co-Applicant, Bernadeta has received a total of over € 975,000 EUR for her research from competitive grants and industry funding.
Bernadeta has experience in working in large international research teams and collecting data in a cross-country context. Her research was published in top-tier academic journals (e.g. Academy of Management Journal, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Vocational Behaviour among others) and has received extensive popular media coverage. She is also regularly involved in research-based advisory projects for business organizations and national government institutions.
