Maik Huettinger
Short description / mini CV: 
Maik Huettinger is an Associate Professor at ISM and joined the university in 2008. Originally coming from Bavaria/Germany, he has been living in Central and Eastern Europe for the last ten years. He earned his European Master in Business Sciences degree from the University of Regensburg and his Ph.D. in Economics from the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. In his doctoral thesis he analyzed the determinants of corporate culture using the example of the airline industry.
 
He has been teaching a variety of courses including: Social Responsibility & Ethics in Global Business, Corporate Responsibility, History of Economic Theories, Principles of Economics, Global Economics, Cross-Cultural Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Change Management. His interdisciplinary approach has been an asset in providing these courses. Besides ISM, Maik has provided courses and lectures at various universities in Europe and America. Moreover, he has been working for companies and at institutions such as Deutsche Lufthansa AG, the Council of Europe and the European Parliament.
 
Dr. Maik Huettinger's research interests are in critical thinking in economics, post-autistic economics, international economics and cross-cultural studies. Furthermore, he has a general interest in the airline industry. His publication about Lithuanian and Latvian National Cultural Values (Hofstede) was included in the hand-picked content of the Emerald reading list.
 
Received the Teacher Of The Year 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014 Awards.
