Overview

University of Ljubljana (UL) is the oldest and the largest university in Slovenia. With 64,000 enrolled graduate and postgraduate students, it is among the largest universities in Europe. University was founded in 1919 on the basis of centuries of educational tradition, remaining the only Slovenian university for half a century. University is based in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, a relatively large Central- European city with over 300.000 inhabitants. University's central office and the majority of schools are situated at the centre of Ljubljana. Several newer and modern buildings are located in the city outskirts.

Courses offered for exchange students
Study mode
A full study workload is 30 ECTS per semester and 60 ECTS per academic year. Courses generally require up to 6 hours per week of lectures, exercises and seminars. Attendance during courses (lectures and seminars) is obligatory and is required for ECTS credits.
