Associate Professor dr. Mariana Sueldo was born in Argentina, where she got part of her formal education until she moved to Lithuania in 1995. While in Argentina, she obtained a music teacher and choir director diploma at the Higher Education Institute for Arts and Music Education in Córdoba. Later she earned a bachelor’s degree in English philology and public translation and interpreter (written, simultaneous -consecutive) from the National University of Córdoba. In Lithuania, Mariana Sueldo studied at the Faculty of Communication of Vilnius University, where she obtained a master’s degree in international communication. Later on, Mariana defended her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Vilnius University.

Since 2005 teaches at ISM University of Management and Economics, conducts training sessions for business leaders, advises business and other organizations on strategic communication management, managerial communication competencies, and internal communication.

From 2020 to 2022 she is involved in a postdoctoral research project (project No .: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712). to raise her qualification and conduct scientific research.

During her career, Mariana has translated several scientific publications and the book “Berisso Lithuanians” about Lithuanians living in Argentina. She is regularly invited to provide translation services at official national and EU events, conferences, etc.

Mariana Sueldo is actively involved in social activities, e.g. EU youth projects in the fields of socialization, citizenship education, volunteering, and leadership. She also helped in the coordination and leadership of seminars and workshops for young people and international summer camps, EU-funded exchange programs in Lithuania and other EU countries.
