Senior lecturer Kristina Aldošina received her master‘s degree in Mathematics and is a certified teacher. She started teaching career in 2005, and from 2006 she teach at ISM University of Management and Economics various mathematical subjects: Mathematical Analysis, Applied Mathematics for Social Sciences, Finite Mathematics, and Mathematical Methods in Economics. Also, she is the Head of Fundamental subjects group – her responsibility is to ensure teaching quality.
“During my lectures, I teach not only how to solve applied problems of business or economics, but also thinking schemes, learning techniques, general approach towards studies and future profession. My teaching philosophy – „start with the question“.
Topics that I teach are already classical fields of Mathematics and almost do not change over time, so my main challenge is to create interesting for youth and relevant to nowadays business and economics applied problems (exercises). Besides, we start and end each lecture with a smile :)”
The course covers topics on limit, differential, and integral calculus as the basis for modelling of various phenomena in economics, management, and engineering.
Aims of the course
This course aims to develop skills for mathematical modeling of basic economical, managerial, and engineering problems.
This course brings main understanding of engineering graphics and develop platform to use engineering information in form of drawings and 3D models. The aim of the curse is to deliver fundamentals of engineering graphics, understand various types of graphic information and find necessary object and its features within documentation. This course introduces students to basic techniques in interpreting details, assembly drawings, 3D representation of objects, architectural drawings, electrical and electronic diagrams, block diagrams and other types of graphics. The student should be able to understand the drawings used in the manufacturing process, assembling and installation of a product. In this course, students are required to prepare their own graphical information as well as documentation often used in industry field.
Students will learn how to apply developed theoretical methods of engineering graphic in communications wide range of specialists within project group or teamwork by using professionally prepared graphics.
Course covers introduction to linear systems, matrix algebra, linear programming, graph theory, introduction to probabilities, game theory, and various applications.
This course aims to develop skills for mathematical modeling of basic social and economical phenomena.
This course broadens and applies knowledge and skills gained during mathematical analysis and finite mathematics courses. Students learn to solve first and second order differential and difference equations and apply them in economic problem solving. The main attention of this course is focus on static and dynamic optimization techniques and their application in day-to-day problems and decision making of economics and management.
This course aims to broaden the knowledge and skills in advanced mathematical analysis, which is usually applied in solution of various economic problems.
Course covers introduction to linear systems, matrix algebra, linear programming, and various applications.
This course aims to develop skills for mathematical modelling of basic social and economic phenomena.
