Juozas Granskas teaches at ISM from its establishment, has more than 30 years of teaching experience. After studies of Applied Mathematics at Vilnius University, he worked as a researcher in the process simulation and control field at the Kaunas University of Technology. Later, he studied Financial accounting, participated in the implementation of management accounting tools in Lithuanian hospitals, studied Financial Management module at ISM Master of Management program. This experience helps Juozas Granskas to enrich the teaching of mathematical models with realistic examples.
Received the Teacher Of The Year 2007 Award.
This is a practical course dealing with the mathematical models supporting decision making in various fields of social sciences and practical environment, i.e. management, economics, and politics. In particular, what-if analysis, forecasting, optimization, multi-criteria decision making and data analysis are dealt in the course. Computer spreadsheets are used all over the course.
