Associate Professor Dr. Saulius Šimkonis is Project, Programme and Portfolio Management (PPM) practitioner, consultant, trainer with 20+ years of experience. He has IPMA-A, Project Management Professional (PMP) and PRINCE2 Practitioner certificates and is recognized as IPMA Assessor in Lithuania.
Currently Saulius is Project Portfolio Manager at Swedbank. He was having Project Management Process Manager and Department Manager positions in the same company earlier. Previously he worked at Oracle as Principle Project Manager. Through his career Saulius was leading major projects, programmes and improvement initiatives, consulting and delivering training in the field of Project, Programme and Portfolio Management, process maturity improvement, risk management, and facilitating individual lessons learned sessions.
Saulius graduated from ISM University of Management and Economics. Later he defended his dissertation “Factors influencing lessons learned processes in innovative projects” in Vilnius University. Before joining as a Head of Project Management Program at ISM Executive School, he was leading International Project Management programme at Vilnius University Business School and was a lecturer at Vilnius University and ISM University of Management and Economics.
Saulius is a member of Project Management Institute and Lithuanian Project Management Association (LPVA).
