European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management
The European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) was founded in 1971. It can be described as a node in a set of networks comprising over 32,000 researchers involved in management research and teaching.
The general mission of the Institute is to contribute to the development of management researchers and teachers in Europe. It fosters a research approach that brings relevant theory and techniques from different disciplines to bear on practical management problems in European organisations and encourages a high degree of openness toward cross-cultural and international communication. The objectives of the Institute are to contribute to the development of management researchers and teachers, to organise conferences, seminars and workshops on research in management, to encourage joint research, and to enhance the development and quality of European doctoral student education.
EIASM makes a specific impact on creating and monitoring standards of academic excellence in all areas of management and on promoting models of advanced international training programmes designed for management scientists.
