The Baltic Journal of Management

The Baltic Management Development Association (BMDA) and Emerald Group Publishing Limited present the Baltic Journal of Management.

The Baltic region has experienced rapid political and economic change over the past few years. The challenges facing managers and management researchers operating within the area are often different from those experienced in other parts of the world. The Baltic Journal of Management contributes to a greater understanding of different management cultures and provides readers with a fresh insight into emerging management practices and research in the countries of the Baltic region and beyond.

Unique Attributes
The Baltic Journal of Management is the only journal that actively encourages a dialogue between the various Baltic management researchers and supports research within the region. The journal seeks to highlight the best practices and latest research in the rapidly growing countries of the Baltic region. It also contributes to the development of solutions for contemporary management challenges.

Topicality
In recent years, the economies of the Baltic countries have grown rapidly. As a result, researchers have identified the need to take a more targeted and intensive management development focus and establish a virtual bridge between management research schools in the East and West. In doing that, the journal seeks to engender collaboration between different research cultures. The Baltic Journal of Management acts as a forum to encourage dialogue between the East and West.

Key Benefits
The Baltic Journal of Management is essential reading for international academic personnel with research interest in Baltic management studies and practitioners seeking alternative perspectives on Baltic management in practice. The journal:
• Acts as a forum for the debate and publication of papers, which establish a virtual bridge between Eastern and Western management research
• Provides a unique opportunity to share the experience of transformation, rapid growth, and providing organizations with stability, which are management challenges in the new EU member states, including the Baltic States
• Is partnered with the Baltic Management Development Association (BMDA), which has more than 37 members in 10 different countries

Readership of the Journal
The Baltic Journal of Management particularly encourages scientists, researchers and practitioners from the Baltic Sea region (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, as well as Poland, Russia and other countries near the Baltic Sea) to share their experience, knowledge and practice with an international readership and writership. Articles from other European regions and countries of the world concerning the problems and researches that will have impact on and provide innovation to the Baltic studies are also welcome.
