ISM is actively involved in many activities, including close collaboration with a number of international associations such as:

COST TC SSH (http://www.cost-a24.info ) – Founded in 1971, COST is an intergovernmental framework for European co-operation in the field of scientific and technical research. It allows the co-ordination of nationally funded research on a European level. Dr. Alfredas Chmieliauskas, ISM Vice President for innovation and development, is Lithuania’s representative in the Cost framework.
CREST Policy Mix Group (http://ec.europa.eu/invest-in-research ) – Framework for higher education research in Europe. Lithuania is represented by Prof. Petras Baršauskas, ISM vice-president for external relations.
EAIE (http://www.eaie.org ) – European Association for International Education, the main aim of which is the stimulation and facilitation of the internationalisation of higher education in Europe and around the world. It is also focussed on meeting the professional needs of individuals active in international education. ISM is represented by its international projects coordinator Violeta Aušvicaitė.
EUCEN (http://www.eucen.org ) – European University Continuing Education Network is the largest European multidisciplinary association involved with lifelong learning at the university level. ISM joined EUCEN in 2005.
Minerva (http://www.minervaeurope.org ) – EU framework to promote European co-operation in the field of Information and Communication Technology and Open and Distance Learning in education.
NISPAcee (http://www.nispa.sk ) – The Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe. ISM is represented in this organisation by Dr. Alfredas Chmieliauskas, Vice President for innovation and development.
TECHNO (http://www.upv.es/TechnoTN)  – EU science and engineering oriented thematic network. ISM representatives in the network are Prof. Petras Baršauskas, Vice President for external relations, and Solveiga Buožiūtė, head of Doctoral studies.
